I know at least one prepper who stores significant amounts of his emergency food in a wine storage room and it does really well! I'd shoot for something lower than 70 degrees if at all possible but yeah, it's certainly far better than storing it in your garage or even inside your home since the temperature and humidity remain much more consistent.

Hi John,

I live California's Bay Area. Year round temperatures are not ideal for long term food storage. I'm considering the purchase of a wine fridge. The humidity level in the fridge is ~50, while ambient is ~70. Any thoughts?
